WELCOME HOME! Announcing the new co-coaches for Summer

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our new club co-coaches for summer are Chris Nicholas and Cam Ross!
Both Chris and Cam have a long history with the club having played their junior careers here and are coming home to lead us forward!
Speaking with them after informing of the decision Chris said
“As a life member of Doncaster I’m really excited to come back to the place that feels like home and take on the role with Rossy. We are fired up to see if we can continue the great work that Nick has been doing the last few years! Hopefully we will bring that extra bit of experience the club needs to get us back up into Division 1, be competitive and stay there for the long term. I want to make the Dragons and Deep Creek the place where people are itching to come to and play”
Cam echoed the sentiment saying
“I’m very excited to come back to the club where I played my whole junior career at and then went on to play well over 150 senior games in Division 1! The challenge that awaits is something that I’m really looking forward to. I can’t wait get stuck into it and work with the club towards a common goal.
Cam went on to say that his “goals were to get to know the whole playing group so we can build on the culture and take it to the next level. I want to work with the players to improve their fundamentals for better execution on game days and to maximise their potential so they can play at their best level.”

Vice President Lachlan Craven said “The passion that these guys have had for the green and gold is evident when they speak. They played on some pretty phenomenal teams that the Dragons have produced over the years and I know that they are great mates which stems way back to when our uniform had pinstripes! They will bring a new dynamic to the club that will hopefully see us propel forward and onto much bigger things. It’s really special to target a couple of people and land them both!
It’s really a very exciting time for the club with the new club rooms, upgraded spectator facilities, electronic scoreboard, shade sails and batting cage upgrades! Bringing these two Dragons home to coach means you won’t want to miss anything!”
