MWBL Week 5 results
A weekend of huge wins on Saturday in a battle of the division Premiers with Doncaster, B Grade and B Reserve took on Heathmont, A Grade and A Reserve at their home ground, the Iceberg. In the early game Rhys Otter threw superbly and was relieved by Lachlan Parsonage in the last. They were backed by some timely hitting to post a 7 nil win.
It was also a 1st (Heathmont) vs 3rd (Doncaster) affair in A Grade and the boys did not disappoint. Good pitching by Fraser Boyd and relief by Brian Chen were backed by plenty of solid hits throughout. Marcel D'Avoine took over from Chen in a tight spot and slammed the door shut ensuring a fantastic win in a great game of baseball!
In the 3rds Brayden Henderson threw a complete game on just 80 pitches surrendering only one run! His fantastic outing was backed by some clean fielding and a long drive to the fence by Cam Allen.
Elsewhere the U/17 Red Division had a great win over the the Rebels at North Coburg.
