It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of Marjorie Chasemore.

Marj was the loving wife of Charles Chasemore, the first President of the Doncaster Baseball Club, who held many senior positions and in whose honour the Best Clubman Trophy is awarded annually.   Marj was mother to Lyle and Neil (deceased) who also played an integral part in the growth of the Club in its early years.

Marj's involvement started back in the early 1960's with Box Hill Baseball Club & continued on through the amalgamation and formative years of the club we now know.

 Her tireless work in the uniform, scoring and, above all, her persistence in obtaining sponsors for social nights and game days was amazing.

Her strong and determined personality will be sadly missed.
