Dragon getting his shot in the Minor Leagues

A Doncaster Dragon has recently been given an oppourtunity in the Minor Leagues, but this time, it isn't on the field.

Jarrah Vella-Wright willl spend a season working for the Beloit Snappers, a Class A Minor League affiliate for the Oakland Athletics in Wisconsin.

Jarrah, who spent six years playing for Doncaster, graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Sports Journalism degree and has now landed a media & marketing internship with the Snappers.

As part of his role Jarrah will spend a full season in Beloit working alongside the media manager. Jarrah is responsible for organising the stadium music for the team, including player walk-up music, and will get to write news stories throughout the season.

Jarrah recently had his first story published on the Snappers' website, click here to give it a read!

Jarrah has joined fellow Dragons Marcel D'Avoine, Lewis Thorpe, John King, Mitch Ellis, Daniel McGrath, Taylor Clemensia, Matz Schutz, Justin Lawrence and Luke Westphal to be representing Doncaster in American baseball.
